We provide Gender-Based Violence and HIV&AIDS dialogues, workshops and outreach programs, after-school support, and mentorship. We also offer community development centered-initiatives and arts therapy to combat illness.

About Ihlumelo

Ihumelo foundation is a non-profit organisation formed by the youth of Duncan Village. This program was incepted for the purpose of addressing the scourge of Gender-Based Violence as well as to bridge the gap between the privileged and non-privileged youth.

About our Organisation

Ihlumelo Foundation, a youth-led organisation operating in several wards in the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality in the Eastern Cape. Our main purpose is to empower and support all victims of crime and violence and vulnerable groups by providing lay counseling, awareness campaign on gender-based violence and femicide and Advocacy programs focusing on prevention-centrered initiatives. It also addresses the imbalanced between the privileged and non-privileged youth and children.
